Get ready to open up your wallet a little wider to park your car in downtown Santa Cruz.
Hourly and daily parking rates in lots and garages will increase to $1 per hour on Feb. 1. The daily maximum fee will increase to $8 per day.
Parking rates at parking meters other than pacific avenue will increase on Feb. 1 75 cents… to $1.25 per hour depending on location.
New parking meters will be installed on Pacific Avenue Jan. 28-29…. The new meters will accept credit cards. These meters will have new parking rates: $1.50 for each of the first two hours and $3 for each hour thereafter.
The parking fee increases were approved by the Santa Cruz city council in 2018.
