The 14th Annual Panetta Institute Lecture Series will host a talk next week by the co-chairs of President Barack Obama’s deficit commission. Former republican Senator Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles, who served as Chief of Staff under President Bill Clinton, headed a bi-partisan commission that recently recommended cutting domestic and military spending to tackle the nations’s budget deficit. The event takes place Monday February 21st at 7 p.m. at the Monterey Conference Center Steinbeck Forum located at One Portola Plaza in Monterey.
