A portion of Palo Colorado Road will be closing for several months. The road will be closed about 3 miles into the canyon, so that permanent repairs can be made to a section that washed out in January of 2017, and then was replaced by a temporary bridge. The road will close June 4th, and is currently scheduled to re-open November 1st. People with multiple vehicles will be able to stage one on either side of the closure, and residents will also have temporary pedestrian and all-terrain vehicle access during the closure. The Mid-Coast Fire Brigade has pre-staged an engine, and a rescue vehicle, in the area that will become inaccessible to large vehicles next month, and the Brigade also has an all-terrain vehicle.
