A PACIFIC GROVE NEIGHBORHOOD WAS ROCKED BY AN EXPLOSION SATURDAY NIGHT. ABOUT 12:30 A-M, POLICE RESPONDED TO PRESIDIO BOULEVARD AND AUSTIN AVENUE WHERE NEIGHBORS REPORTED “FIREWORK-LIKE” SMOKE, BROKEN WINDOWS, AND SHAKEN BUILDINGS. A SWEEP OF THE AREA TURNED UP A LARGE HOME-MADE DEVICE IN A PARKING LOT AT 1236 PRESIDIO BLVD. THE BUILDING’S WINDOWS AND OUTSIDE LIGHTING FIXTURES WHERE SHATTERED. THE DEVICE WAS COLLECTED AS EVIDENCE AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS ENCOURAGED TO CALL THE PACIFIC GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
