An Oregonian has won the 2019 Great Garlic Cook-Off. Amateur Chef Gary Exner beat out 7 other finalists (from around the country) with his original recipe, “Strawberry Tart with Garlic Shiso Cream and Yuzu Glaze”. 2nd place went to Merry Graham for Garlicky BBQ Pork Fluffy Japanese Pancake with Strawberry Sritacha Syrup; while Robyn Price took 3rd place with her CoCoa-Coffee Crusted Garlic & Bacon Cheesecake with Caramel Drizzle. The Great Garlic Cook-Off took place yesterday at the 41st annual Gilroy Garlic Festival, which continues today in Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy.
