Orca whales may be getting a helping hand from the federal government.
By this October, the feds will propose expanded habitat protections for northwest orcas along the coast in California, Oregon and Washington.
It’s the “Center for Biological Diversity” that spurred the protection for the orca’s, by filing a lawsuit. The group said the federal government was dragging it’s feet it establishing critical habitat for the orcas.
