Whale watchers will be experiencing a rise in killer whale sightings in the Monterey Bay. Higher numbers in Orcas are recorded every April and May. Marine biologists say the increases are related to the migration of Grey whales headed north from birthing lagoons in Mexican waters. The Monterey Bay offers the Orcas an ideal geography for hunting calves accompanying their mothers toward Alaska.
