This weekend, Bike Santa Cruz County is hosting their seventh annual Open Streets event in Santa Cruz.
The event will feature over sixty different booths, food and beverages, live performances, as well as activities for all ages.
There is also going to be a booth featuring a Hayward-based Gillig bus built in Northern California. Santa Cruz Metro CEO Alex Clifford spoke with KSCO about this new bus. In this interview, Clifford states that it is a sleek bus with bus rapid transit design, and that “customers will be impressed” when they see it at the Sunday event.
Open Streets Santa Cruz is this Sunday and will span from 9 AM to 2 PM. As a heads up, West Cliff Drive will be closed to motor traffic from Lighthouse Field to Natural Bridges Drive. Visit SCOpenStreets.Org for more information on this event.
