A shooting in Salinas last night left one dead and another injured. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 100 block of Orchard Avenue shortly after 6 following a report of shots fired. Two victims were found at the scene suffering gunshot wounds. Both were transported to the hospital. The first victim was treated and released. The second, 23-year-old Jorge Mosqueda, was rushed into surgery where he later died.
