A MAN ACCUSED OF KIDNAPPING, CAR-JACKING, AND STABBING TO DEATH, A PACIFIC GROVE TEENAGER BACK IN 1997, HAS PLEADED GUILTY TO FIRST-DEGREE MURDER. ANGEL RUELAS MADE THAT PLEA TODAY (WHEN JURY SELECTION FOR THE MURDER TRIAL WAS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN). KRISTOPHER OLINGER’S BODY WAS FOUND NEAR THE PACIFIC GROVE RECREATION TRAIL IN SEPTEMBER OF 1997. HE HAD BEEN OUT TAKING PICTURES OF THE POINT PINOS LIGHTHOUSE FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT.
