A tense stand off in Salinas on Friday ended with officers shooting and killing a 20-year old woman.
According to salinas police, the unidentified woman was barricaded inside her car with a gun outside of a home making threats against another female inside at the residence. The home was located near east laurel drive and sandborn road.
Officers tried for several hours to negotiate with woman with no success and finally opened fire. No officers were hurt during the shooting and they’ve been placed on administrative leave.
