The Monterey county district attorney is reviewing body cam footage from an officer involved shooting in Salinas late Friday night.
According to Salinas police, they received a call that a man was pointing a gun at customers outside the Safeway supermarket on constitution boulevard.
Five officers responded to the scene and the suspect was reportedly not cooperating and made a move as if he was reaching for a weapon… that’s when police fired.
The suspect suffered non life threatening injuries and should already have been released from the hospital. All of the officers were wearing body cameras.
