(08:49) SANTA CRUZ – UCSC’s Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor is stepping down. After 25 years of service, Alison Galloway has decided to return to her research and teach in anthropology. During her time as Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor, Galloway sought to increase retention rates for undergraduate students, enhance academic pathways to allow students to graduate in four years or less, and secure recognition as a Hispanic Serving Institution. Galloway will be leaving the position at the end of December 2016. UCSC will soon launch a nationwide search for a new Campus Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor. (S.G.)
