(07:35) SAN JOSE – A local lawmaker has been recognized for his work in helping disadvantaged communities. Assemblyman Luis Alejo has received one of three Legislator of the Year Awards from the League of California Cities. Alejo has been recognized for passing legislation that aims to restore neighborhoods and make housing more affordable. He received the award Friday at the 2015 League of California Cities Annual Conference and Expo in San Jose. (S.G.)
