(15:48) SALINAS -A wanted Salinas man was arrested following a police standoff on Friday. Authorities say police spotted 29 year old Steven Acosta at about ( a.m. near Hartnell College. Acosta, wanted for outstanding felony warrants and parole violations fled into a home on the 100 block of West Street. An elderly couple residing in the home escaped to safety, while patrol units surrounded the house and a standoff ensued until 3 p.m. when tear gas was used to subdue the suspect. Acosta was booked into county jail.
