(07:14) SALINAS – A Salinas man has been arrested in connection with an armed carjacking. 18-year-old Jacob Salinas is suspected of stealing a vehicle at gunpoint on October 24 in the area of Sanborn Road and McGowan Drive. A police officer spotted Salinas near Central Park Thursday morning. The suspect was apprehended on Central Avenue following a brief foot pursuit. Salinas was booked into Monterey County Jail.
