(17:46) SANTA CRUZ- The Santa Cruz Police Department is warning residents of a rise in bicycle thefts. A spokesperson says the department receives at least one reported stolen a bike a day, and has logged more than 2100 reports of stolen bikes since 2009. Bike owners are advised tp keep pictures of bicycles and their serial numbers, and to bring bicycles inside at night or to use quality bike locks.
