(08:59) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A storm preparation project is expected to cause traffic delays on northbound Highway 17 on Friday. Crews will be working between Santa’s Village and Crescent Drive in Scotts Valley from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The left lane of the roadway will be closed. The roadwork is necessary to prepare for potential flooding this winter. Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. (S.G.)
