(20:00) MONTEREY- A fire broke out at the Monterey Bay Aquarium yesterday (Thursday) morning. At about 9 a.m. worker in the Splash Zone exhibit noticed smoke. Aquarium security closed the exhibit and cut electrical power to the area. The fire was extinguished quickly and determined to be due to an electrical problem. No evacuations were order and the Splash Zone was reopened after two hours.
