(19:00) Monterey Bay Area – The annual quarantine on sport-harvested mussels is scheduled to end soon…but not around the Monterey Bay. Although the quarantine will officially be lifted at midnight going into November 1st (along portions of the California coast), the quarantine will remain in effect in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Santa Barbara counties, (as well as Humboldt and Del Norte counties in northern California). That’s because Domoic Acid is still being found in sport-harvested mussels in those areas.
