(17:55) APTOS- The central coast has been experiencing a rise in stranded fur seal pups. Officials with the Marine Mammal Center say for the second year in a row the center has been involved in higher than normal seal pup rescues, with the most recent rescue taking place in Aptos last Thursday. Experts believe warmer El Nino waters are causing adult seals to abandon the pups to search for food. Currently the center is caring fo 10 seal pups.
