(05:55) SALINAS – A man was fatally shot in Salinas Thursday night, marking the city’s 28th homicide this year. Police were dispatched to the intersection of North Hebron Avenue and East Street around 10 p.m., following a report of a shooting victim. At the scene. Officers located 47-year-old Cesareo Meza Ruiz suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. Two individuals dressed in dark clothing were seen running from the area. Anyone with information is urged to contact Salinas police. (S.G.)
