(11:00) California – AAA Northern California has partnered up with Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drills in an effort to educate people of what to do when an earthquake occurs. At 10:20 a-m on October 20th (International Shakeout Day) people worldwide will practice how to “drop, cover, and Hold On” during an earthquake. AAA will also be launching a new game on that day, Magnitude Meter. The game was designed so that when smartphone owners shake their phones they create a simulated earthquake and receive tips on how be prepared for an earthquake. Every time someone shakes their phone $5 dollars will be donated to American Red Cross to support disaster relief.
