(17:45) SALINAS- Salinas police are investigating a Friday night fatal shooting. Authorities say that at about 7:45 pm. patrol units arrived on the 1200 block of First Avenue to find 33 year old Jesus Mendoza Ramirez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers attempted C-P-R, but Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the victim was washing his car when he was shot by two assailants. The men were seen fleeing on foot toward Towt Street. The shooting is believed to be gang related. It is Salinas’s 32nd homicide this year.
