The monterey city council has extended by 3-days, a Friday eviction deadline for local “occupy” protesters. The permit for campers at veterans memorial park in monterey is now set to expire on Monday. “Occupy Monterey peninsula” protesters have been camping in the park since November 4th. A motion to extend their permit by 2-weeks was rejected; the vote to extend the deadline to Monday was approved by a vote of 4 to 1.
