An internal investigation (of a recent officer involved shooting in Salinas) is now looking into what might have been inappropriate actions taken by a Monterey county sheriff’s deputy….who is also a Salinas city council member. Scott Davis, who was not authorized to take part in the Salinas Police Department’s Chase that preceded the shooting, reportedly threw down a spike strip. The strip disabled not only the suspect’s vehicle, but a Salinas police officer’s patrol car as well.
