Fire crews were called out to fight a fire in a field off of Castroville Boulevard yesterday. Twenty-five fire fighters battled the blaze which burned 9 acres next to North Monterey County High School before it was extinguished with no damage to the school or other structures. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, however authorities are interviewing a person of interest.
