(07:24) MONTEREY COUNTY, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A roadway improvement project is expected to impact traffic in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. Beginning Monday, crews will be working on Highways 1, 9, 68 and 218. Motorists will encounter shoulder closures at these locations Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Motorists on Highway 1 will encounter overnight lane closures at Rio Road in Carmel from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Delays will be minimal. The project is expected to be completed by February 2016. (S.G.)
