(15:52) SALINAS- The city of Salinas is opening its Winter Warming Center today (Monday). The facility will hold between 50 and 60 people, depending on available staff, at its 215 Lincoln Avenue location. The center is jointly funded by the city and county and will be open every day through April 4th. The shelter will be available to single men and women, on a first-come first serve basis. Dinner will be provided. Initial intake and orientation for participants will be required before entry, which will begin at 7 a.m., with no staging before entry allowed. Participants will leave each day by 6 a.m. The center will be staffed by Shelter Outreach Plus. Other organizations are invited to participate. For information call (831) 899-1957
