(08:56) CALIFORNIA – State health officials are advising consumers to not eat Dungeness or rock crab caught in California. The Department of Public Health has issued the warning after finding dangerous levels of the biotoxin domoic acid in crabs caught in waters between the Oregon border and the southern Santa Barbara County line. Health officials plan to continue testing crabs to monitor the levels of domoic acid. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the event. The state’s recreational and commercial crab fishing season could be delayed as a result. (S.G.)
