(16:00) California – The first confirmed influenza-related death in California has been announced. The victim, who was younger than 65 years-old, died in Santa Clara county. According to the California Department Of Public Health common symptoms of the flu include: fever, cough, sore throat, stuffy nose, chills, fatigue, and body aches. Children may also have nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. The flu causes thousands of hospitalizations each year, and up to 10,000 deaths in the United States.
