(11:12) SANTA CRUZ – The League of American Bicyclists has awarded the city of a Santa Cruz a Bicycle Friendly Community Gold Award. To celebrate, the community is invited to participate in a short, all-ages, gold-themed bike ride Tuesday night. The ride will leave from Santa Cruz City Hall at 5:30 p.m. Participants are advised to bring bike lights and wear gold. Following the ride, there will be a reception at the City Hall courtyard and a presentation at the City Council Meeting at 7 p.m. (S.G.)
