(16:54) CARMEL- A popular Carmel surfer was sentenced on Friday. In June, 64 year old Marc Cross pled guilty to the January 2014 brutal beating Karen Ford, a woman he was renting a room. Neighbors reported hearing a sound like chopping wood, when deputies arrived they found Ford with her head split open. She suffers permanent disabilities from the attack. Cross was sentenced to five years in prison.
