(09:30) Santa Cruz – The UC Santa Cruz Police Department has classified the November 11th incident at UCSC as a hate crime. The incident took place near Quarry Plaza at around 10:00 p.m. The female student reported that three men followed her and yelled homophobic slurs and hit her on the head with a rock. The men are described as being in their early twenties. Police are asking for the publics help in identifying the three men. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the UC Santa Cruz police department.
