(08:18) SALINAS – Salinas officials will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday morning for the city’s first modern roundabout. The new roundabout is located at the intersection of East Alisal Street and Skyway Boulevard. The roundabout has been constructed in an effort to enhance traffic safety and efficiency for pedestrians, bicyclists and vehicles. The mayor, city council members and representatives of the Transportation Agency for Monterey County will be present at the ceremony, which will begin at 10 a.m. (S.G.)
