NOT GUILTY PLEAS IN S.C. TEEN’S DEATH 06-24-10 19:20 a.v.

During a court hearing held in Santa Cruz today, 2 of the 3 men charged with the fatal stabbing of a Santa Cruz High School student last year, plead not guilty to murder and gang charges.  20-year old Pasqual Reyes and 23-year old Walter Escalante joined a 3rd man, who also plead not guilty for the fatal October stabbing of Tyler Tenorio.   20-year old Daniel Onesto, the 1st suspect in Tenorio’s murder, was arrested and charged in October when he also plead not guilty to homicide and gang charges.   Reyes, who was arrested on June 15th, was in Santa Cruz County Jail on an unrelated weapons charge when he was identified as a suspect in Tenorio’s death.  Escalante was later arrested that same day.  Meanwhile, 23-year old Paulo Luna, the 4th suspect in Tenorio’sth. death, is being sought in Mexico.  All 3 men are due back in court on July 29.
