Cal Am officials confirm that a large hole found on the corner of major Seaside intersection is not a sinkhole. People walking past the corner of Canyon Del Rey and Del Monte Boulevards were surprised early Thursday morning by something they said looked very much like a sinkhole. California American Water Company says the 10-foot-wide by 10-foot deep hole across the street from the Embassy Suites hotel, was dug up by work crews just after midnight this morning to repair a broken water line.
