No one was injured, and all guests were able to return to their rooms after yesterday’s fire at the Dream Inn in Santa Cruz. The early morning blaze broke out in the 3rd floor laundry room. The sprinkler head in that room helped contain the fire to that space. Although the fire appears to have begun in a large basket of towels, it’s unclear why, so that’s still being investigated.
