The 2 people accused of killing a 71 year-old Monterey county psychiatrist in Las Vegas, won’t face the death penalty. Both Kelsey Nichole Turner and Jon Logan Kennison have pleaded not guilty to killing Doctor Thomas Burchard….who lived in Salinas, and had his office in Monterey. Burchard’s bludgeoned body was found (March 7th) in the trunk of Turner’s car….in the desert outside of Las Vegas.
