Governor Gavin Newsom announced today that all parking facilities at State Beaches will be closed this weekend in the San Francisco Bay Area and in portions of Southern California. That’s in part because California has seen a nearly 50 percent increase in the number of active cases of Covid-19 in the past 2 weeks….and a nearly 43 percent increase in the rate of hospitalizations over the same 14 days.
