California governor Gavin Newsom last night issued a statewide order for people to stay at home amid the COVID-19 outbreak. That means there are now nearly 40 million Californians who have been told to avoid non-essential movement outside the home.
Earlier Thursday, Newsom predicted that 56% of California’s population could contract the virus over the next eight weeks.
