In Bay Area news… something had to go last week when lawmakers approved a one-point-nine trillion dollar Covid 19 stimulas bill… and it happened to be the money slated to help fund the BART to downtown San Jose extension.
Lawmakers slashed the 141-million dollar grant that was aimed to ease the burden on local transportation funding. The BART to downtown
San Jose project comes with a pricetag of almost 7-billion dollars with a completion date of 20-30.

1 woman died, and another was arrested, as the result of a Fatal crash on Highway 9. 21 year-old Ben Lomond resident Chyanne Pilgreen was reportedly driving under the influence when she lost control of her pick-up truck late Thursday night, and it went off the highway and rolled near Sequoia Road. Her un-restrained 24 year-old passenger, Stormie Worcester, suffered fatal injuries when she was ejected from the vehicle. Pilgreen, who suffered minor physical injuries in the incident, faces Felony D.U.I. charges.

A Stockton man, who threatened to rape a juvenile family member in Salinas, and kill any family member who tried to stop him, has been sentenced to 4 years behind bars. That after 32 year-old Mariano Castro Junior pleaded no contest to Felony Child Abuse for the November of 2020 incident.
