91 million copies of her books, which have been translated into more than 25 languages, have been sold worldwide, and she was named a Living Legend by the Library of Congress in 2000.....after she retired from writing in 1999, following the release of her final book "Ramona's World".

PG Branch of BoA To Close 03-28-21 11:14 S.S.

A Pacific Grove branch of Bank of America will officially be closing in June. The branch at 601 Lighthouse, which has been temporarily closed since last March, has been at that corner of 16th Street since the 1950s. The closest branches of B of A are less than 2 miles away on Franklin Street, and less than 4 miles away in Seaside.

Although the pandemic is part of why B of A is closing branches, a more significant reason is that the public's banking practices have been changing in recent years....with people doing more banking digitally, and also via self-service platforms.
