CANADIAN MAN PLEADS - 08/10/10 09:50 S.S.

A  CANADIAN  MAN  HAS  PLEADED  NO  CONTEST  TO  A  FELONY  CHARGE  RELATING  TO  DRIVING   HIS  MOTORCYCLE  FROM  SASKATCHEWAN  TO  GILROY  IN  HOPES  OF  HAVING  SEX  WITH   A  17  YEAR-OLD  GIRL  THERE.     MICHAEL DEBRUYN ENTERED  ANOTHER  NO  CONTEST  PLEA  TO  A  MISDEMEANOR  CHARGE  OF  POSSESSING  PORNOGRAPHY  OF  THE  MINOR.

 

DE  BRUYN WAS  REPORTEDLY  ON  LEAVE  FROM  THE  MILITARY  WHEN  HE  SHOWED  UP  IN  APRIL,  AT  GILROY  HIGH  SCHOOL,   WITH  THE  INTENT  OF   CONTACTING  A  GIRL  HE  HAD  ORIGINALLY  MET  ON-LINE  WHEN  SHE  WAS  13  YEARS  OLD.

The  Watsonville  Aggies,  who  lost  their  tournament  opener,   have  now  advanced  to  the  elimination  round  at  the  Senior  Babe  Ruth  World  Series.      Watsonville will  face  Cross Plains in  today’s  6  p.m.  game,   and  the  winner  will  advance  to  tomorrow’s  game  against  Portland  Oregon in  the  semi-final. THIS  IS  ONLY THE  4TH TIME  IN  AGGIE  HISTORY THAT  THE  TEAM  HAS  MADE  IT  TO  THE  BABE  RUTH  WORLD  SERIES.

2  PEOPLE  FACE  VARIOUS  DRUG  CHARGES  AFTER  THEY  WERE  FOUND  NEAR  MONTEREY  WITH  CRYSTAL  METHAMPHETAMINE,  AND  A METH  PIPE.       41  YEAR-OLD JAMES  THOMAS  PASCHO AND  48 YEAR-OLD MARA  CAMILLE  SCHWAN WERE  ARRESTED  IN THE   AREA  OF THE  71  HUNDRED  BLOCK  OF  OAK  TREE  PLACE.

MORE  THAN  18  THOUSAND  PEOPLE  HAVE  DIED  (WORLDWIDE)   FROM  SWINE  FLU,  AND  NOW  THE  WORLD  HEALTH  ORGANIZATION SAYS  THE  PANDEMIC  IS  OVER.       W.H.O. DIRECTOR-GENERAL  MARGARET  CHAN SAYS  THAT  THE  WORLD  NOW  IS  MOVING  INTO  THE  “POST-PANDEMIC”  PHASE.

AFTER  MONTHS  OF  WRANGLING,   A  GILROY  MEDICINAL  MARIJUANA  DISPENSARY  HAS  CLOSED  ITS  DOORS.     THE  DISPENSARY INITIALLY  OPENED  LAST  NOVEMBER,  BUT  CITY  OFFICIALS  SAID   MEDI-LEAF (AND  IT’S  OWNERS)  NEVER  HAD  THE CORRECT  BUSINESS  PERMITS.
