Pacific Grove City Officials are looking for public input on a plan to make the city more environmentally friendly. A public workshop is scheduled for tomorrow(Mon), from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Pacific Grove Community Center on Junipero Avenue. The public will be asked to comment on the City's upcoming green building program, which seeks to reduce the city's carbon footprint in several ways.
An armed man robbed a Watsonville gas station early this morning(Sun), and has not been located. The masked-man entered the USA gas station store on Freedom Boulevard at 3 a.m., demanded money from the clerk at gunpoint, and fled. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Watsonville Police Department.

The Democratic U.S. Congressman will meet with residents at 6 p.m., at the Monterey County Office of Education Meeting Room, located on Blanco Circle. An male suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, after robbing a Marina gas station at gunpoint on Saturday night. Police say the robbery of the Valero on the 4-hundred block of Reservation Road occurred just before 11 p.m. A man wearing a ski-mask entered the store with a semi-automatic handgun, and fled after taking a small amount of cash. No arrests have been made.
a firearm wielded by a man who was shot to death in the santa clara county wilderness has been confirmed to be a pellet gun. authorities were conducting a marijuana-eradication operation last month, near the n3-cattle ranch. they encountered 28-year-old jose penaloza-soto, who reportedly brandished what appeared to be a hunting rifle. the gun was in fact a pellet gun, however authorities shot and killed penaloza-soto when he refused to drop the weapon. marijuana-eradication operations have been halted in the area, until the investigation is complete.
