According to Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies, a 22-year old Salinas man was arrested over the weekend after being accused of threatening the life of a person. Deputies received a report Saturday afternoon at around 1:20 that the suspect, Timothy Grady, allegedly threatened to punch and stab a victim at the 13000 block of Onyx Court in Salinas. Grady was booked into Monterey County jail on suspicion of making criminal threats.

The 2ND of 2 free workshops aimed at providing awareness and advice on community violence is scheduled to be held tonight(mon), in Santa Cruz. The workshop, hosted by the Commission for the Prevention of Violence Against Women, will provide a discussion forum, advice, and other resources, for dealing with violence against women and others. The workshop is set to be held from 6 to 8 PM, at the New Leaf Community Meeting Room, which is located at 1101 Fair Street, in Santa Cruz.

Authorities arrested a 17-year-old man on Friday, who is suspected of killing a Watsonville store owner, during a robbery last week. The juvenile suspect’s name has not been released. He was taken into custody in Eureka, (California), with the aid of several law enforcement agencies, including the Eureka police department, the Watsonville police department, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department, and the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. Investigators are still looking into whether or not there were additional suspects involved in the homicide of 32-year-old Yahya Saleh Ali Ahmed, who was gunned down Wednesday, at The Fiesta Market, in Watsonville.
