A new cell phone app was unveiled yesterday that could help limit the spread of Covid-19. CA Notify can send notifications to cell phones that those phones have been in close proximity to someone who has tested positive for the virus. Californians with Android cell phones can download the Ca Notify app from the Google Play Store, allow notifications through the app, and make sure their phone’s Blue Tooth is on......while iPhone users can sign up for the notifications through their phone’s Settings, without having to download an app. The tool doesn’t track people’s identities, or locations, but uses Bluetooth wireless signals to detect when 2 phones are within 6 feet of each other for at least 15 minutes.

Although a regional stay at home order is in effect in San Benito county, Pinnacles National Park will be open for essential travel visitors who need to use the campgrounds as short term lodging.....the same as for any hotel, motel, or other short-term lodging. Those who meet the criteria for “Essential Travel”, and plan to stay at Pinnacles' campground, must check in at the store when they arrive....and certify in writing that the travel is “Essential”.
The state's travel advisory, which recommends that people arriving into California from another state or country should self-quarantine for 14 days, is still in effect.
As part of the advisory, the state is also encouraging residents to stay in their own region and avoid non-essential travel.
