2 DIVERS RESCUED - 09/02/13 13:15 S.S.

A  MAN  AND  A  WOMAN  WERE  PULLED  FROM  THE  OCEAN  TODAY,   AFTER  THEY  BOTH  RAN  INTO  DIFFICULTIES  DIVING  IN  STILLWATER  COVE.     THE  FEMALE  DIVER  WAS  TAKEN  BY  AMBULANCE  TO  AN  AREA  HOSPITAL;   WHILE  THE  MALE  DIVER  RECEIVED  C.P.R.  AT  THE  SCENE,   (AND  WAS  GOING  TO  BE  TREATED  IN  THE  NEWLY  RE-ACTIVATED  HYPERBARIC  CHAMBER  IN  PACIFIC  GROVE)…..BUT  WAS  DECLARED  DEAD  BEFORE  ARRIVING  THERE.   

THEY  WERE  BOTH  TRYING  TO  DIVE  HORSESHOE  REEF,  WHICH  IS  90  FEET  DOWN,  BUT  RAN  INTO  DIFFICULTY  WHILE  RETURNING  TO  THE  SURFACE.

HOLLISTER TEEN FOUND -9/2/13-09:53-PMD

A TEENAGE HOLISTER GIRL REPORTED MISSING WEEK HAS BEEN FOUND. HOLLISTER DETECTIVES LOCATED 14 YEAR OLD MARGARITA CHAPMAN IN LODI AT ABOUT 2:10 SATURDAY AFTERNOON, AFTER THEY FOUND EVIDENCE THAT JOSE C, ARELLANO, A PERSON OF INTEREST ASSOCIATED WITH THE TEENS DISAPPEARANCE, WAS IN LODI. LODI POLICE WERE ABLE TO LOCATE ARELLANO’S VEHICLE WHICH LED TO FINDING THE MISSING GIRL. AUTHORITIES WERE UNABLE TO LOCATE ARELLANO, ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGADING HIS WHEREABOUTS IS URGED TO CONTACT THE HOLLISTER POLICE.

FATALITY IN SOQUEL CRASH -9/2/13-08:53-PMD

A WOMAN WAS KILLED IN A SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN SOQUEL ON SUNDAY.   THE C-H-P RESPONDED TO THE 6:15 P-M CALL, ON THE 19 HUNDRED BLOCK OF OLD SAN JOSE ROAD, FINDING A WRECK CONTAINING THE BODY OF AN 89 YEAR OLD SANTA CRUZ WOMAN.   C-H-P SOURCES SAY THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON ROBLES ROAD, WHEN THE VEHICLE WENT OFF THE ROAD, THEN HIT A TREE AND FELL 20 FEET BELOW TO OLD SAN JOSE ROAD.   THE CRASH MAY HAVE GONE UNNOTICED FOR SEVERAL HOURS.  THE VICTIM’S IDENTITY IS BEING WITHHELD PENDING.

SALINAS MURDER/ ATTMPT 187-9/2/13-07:13-PMD

SALINAS POLICE RESPONDED TO REPORTS OF GUNFIRE ON THE 4 HUNDRED BLOCK OF WILLIAMS ROAD FRIDAY NIGHT.    WHEN OFFICERS ARRIVED AT THE SCENE, AROUND 10:42 P-M, THEY FOUND 38 YEAR OLD JOSE MARAVILLE-RUIZ UNCONSCIOUS SUFFERING FROM A GUNSHOT WOUND, HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT AN AREA HOSPITAL.    A SECOND VICTIM, A 21 YEAR OLD MALE, WAS AIRLIFTED TO A TRAUMA CENTER, AND TREATED FOR A GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE UPPER TOSO.   THE SURVIVING VICTIM TOLD INVESTIGATORS THAT GANG MEMBERS APPROACHED THEM, THEN ASKED THEIR GANG AFFILIATION, AND OPENED FIRE EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT GANG MEMBERS. ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION IS URGED TO CONTACT THE SALINAS POLICE DEPARTMENT.

CASTROVILLE MAN EXPOSES -8/30/13-17:40-PMD

THE MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT SAYS THAT A MAN EXPOSED HIMSELF IN CASTROVILLE FRIDAY MORNING.  THE INCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE AGUA DULCE AND VIELO DULCE AREA, AT ABOUT 7:50 A-M, WHEN A MAN IN HIS 50’S WITH GREEN EYES AND BLOND HAIR, DRIVING A WHITE SUBURBAN WITH BIG , AND SKULL STICKERS ON THE REAR WINDOW, EXPOSED HIMSELF TO A GROUP OF STUDENTS.  HE WAS LAST SEEN DRIVING ON CASTROVILLE BOULEVARD.   ANYONE WITH ANY INFORMATION IS URGED TO CONTACT THE MONTEREY COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT.
