NO  ONE  WAS  INJURED  AS  THE  RESULT  OF  AN  EARLY  MORNING STRUCTURE  FIRE  IN  AROMAS.      THE  BLAZE,   IN  THE  ABANDONED  HOME  ON  THE  29  HUNDRED  BLOCK  OF  SAN  JUAN  ROAD (NEAR  HIGHWAY  101),   WAS  CALLED  IN  AROUND  1  A-M.        FIREFIGHTERS  HAD  THE  HOUSEFIRE  CONTAINED  BY  2  A.M..     THE  CAUSE  OF  IT  HAS  BEEN  LISTED  AS  “SUSPICIOUS”.

D U I + CHILD ENDANGERMENT 04/16/13 1108 S.S.

A  MAN  WAS  ARRESTED  YESTERDAY  AFTER   HE  LED  LAW  ENFORCEMENT  OFFICERS  ON  A  SLOW  SPEED  CHASE  THROUGH  THE  STREETS  OF  SALINAS.      37  YEAR-OLD  JULIAN  LOPEZ’S BLOOD  ALCOHOL  CONTENT  TESTED  AS  3  TIMES  THE  LEGAL  LIMIT.      HE  WAS  ARRESTED  ON  SUSPICION  OF  DRIVING  UNDER  THE  INFLUENCE,   EVADING POLICE  OFFICERS,  AND  CHILD  ENDANGERMENT (BECAUSE  LOPEZ HAD  A  3  YEAR-OLD  CHILD  IN  THE  BACK  SEAT,   AT  THE  TIME  HE  WAS  ARRESTED).      LOPEZ WAS  BOOKED  INTO  MONTEREY COUNTY  JAIL.

THE  CHILD  WAS  LATER  RELEASED  TO  HIS  MOTHER.
