DUE  TO  MONTEREY  PENINSULA  COLLEGE  BEING MILLIONS  OF  DOLLARS  IN  DEBT,  SEVERAL  DEPARTMENTS  MAY  EXPERIENCE  SERIOUS  BUDGET CUTS….AND  THE  NEWLY  RE-DONE  THEATER  PROGRAM  IS  APPARENTLY  ONE  OF  THEM.    THE  500  THOUSAND  DOLLAR  BUDGET CUT  THAT  IS  EXPECTED  IN  THE  DEPARTMENT,   AND  THE  REDUCTION  IN  THE  NUMBER  OF  STUDENTS  ATTENDING  M-P-C,   COULD  MAKE  IT  NEARLY  IMPOSSIBLE  FOR  THE  STUDENTS  IN  THE  THEATER  PROGRAM  TO  PUT  ON  A  PRODUCTION THIS  YEAR...AND WITHOUT  A  PRODUCTION,  THE  DEPARTMENT AND  SCHOOL  IS  LIKELY  TO  LOSE  EVEN  MORE  FUNDING.
